11th International Symposium of Literary Translation (Cuba)

11th International Symposium of Literary Translation from UNEAC


The 11th International Symposium of Literary Translation, announced by the section of Literary Translation from the Writers Association from UNEAC and the Asociación Cubana de Traductores e Intérpretes (Cuban Association of Translators and Interpreters) (ACTI in Spanish), was inaugurated on November 23 and it will last until November 25, which was made known in a press conference in the Guillén salon from that institution.

The encounter was presided over by doctor Lourdes Arencibia Rodríguez, President of the Section of Literary translation.

As it is usual the event, which takes place in the Martínez Villena room from the Union of Writers and Artists from Cuba, will congregate a group of important specialists, teachers as well as national and foreign students, dedicated to literary translation in its every aspect.

The symposium presented around sixteen presentations and projects which will be used as platforms for the exchange of practical experiences and debates characterized by the many approaches, perspectives and current theoretical trends in this field.
